Welcome to my Homepage!
I am an applied economist who uses insights and tools from behavioral and experimental economics to study questions in microeconomics, environmental economics, and management. In my research, I use insights from behavioral economics to better understand the behavioral foundations of human-decision making, particularly with respect to pro-environmental as well as pro- and anti-social behaviors. The focus of my research is to examine the role and interaction of both economic and psychological factors. In doing so, I aim to shed light on the essential considerations required for designing effective institutions and policy instruments to promote sustainability and persistent behavioral change, which are essential in the fight against climate change. My research portfolio spans a diverse array of topics, ranging from cooperation, conflict, trust, inequality, and social norms to intertemporal discounting, intervention decisions, and nudging. Through this multifaceted and interdisciplinary approach, I aim to provide novel insights into pressing global challenges. Currently, I work as a Postdoc at the Department of Economics at the University of Cologne. I am also an associate member of the Cluster of Excellence ECONtribute and a research fellow at the Centre for Decision Research and Experimental Economics (CeDEx) and the Center for Social and Economic Behavior (C-SEB). On this site you can find more information about my research, my Curriculum Vitae, and how to contact me. |
